Meet Nalu Babe Sierra Mae Walker

Sierra Mae Walker radiates confidence, resilience, and heart, bringing a powerful yet effortless energy to Nalu Bay Swimwear.

Originally from a small town in West Virginia called New Martinsville and now based in Jacksonville, Florida, Sierra (@sierra.maee) embodies what it truly means to be a Nalu Babe. What she loves most about Nalu Bay is the family-like atmosphere, a community filled with empowering, supportive women who genuinely want to see each other win. To Sierra, being a Nalu Babe feels like a modern-day sisterhood, where the vibe is fun, real, and uplifting, and where confidence and connection come naturally.

Sierra’s life is a beautiful blend of ambition, creativity, and balance. She works as an Anesthesia Technician in the Operating Room and also as a VIP Bottle Server at Decca Live, a three-story nightclub with a rooftop, proving her ability to thrive in vastly different environments. Signed with NYMMG, she loves everything social media-related, from modeling and graphic design to creating UGC content. In her downtime, Sierra enjoys cooking, going to the gym, walking outside, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her rescue cat, Kapri. She’s also preparing to start nursing school, with hopes of becoming a CRNA, continuing her path of care and dedication to others.

As a child, Sierra dreamed of being an actor, even taking acting classes while growing up. That early love for performance and expression has carried into her modeling career, where confidence, presence, and storytelling are key. If she had to describe herself in three words, they would be fearless, empathetic, and empowering, qualities that define how she moves through both her personal and professional life.

The person who inspires Sierra the most is her dad, whose work ethic and heart left a lasting impact on her life. Running his own construction business with a small team, he worked long hours to provide for their family, yet never missed a moment in Sierra’s childhood. From coaching her in sports to showing up for every game, he taught her the true meaning of dedication, discipline, and love. Watching him balance hard work with family shaped Sierra’s definition of success and the kind of person she strives to be.

Sierra considers her greatest accomplishment to be becoming the woman she is today. Growing up, she experienced bullying and moments where she struggled to see a future beyond the pain. Instead of letting those experiences break her, she used them to build strength, confidence, and purpose. One of her proudest moments was graduating from West Virginia University and, just days later, moving to Jacksonville, Florida. Without hesitation or overthinking, she trusted herself and took a leap that changed her life, leading to growth, success, and a fresh start.

Looking ahead, Sierra is excited to see how far her modeling career can go, especially now that she’s signed with NYMMG. She hopes to continue building a strong, versatile portfolio, travel to New York City for upcoming shoots, and step into bigger opportunities that push her creatively and professionally. Beyond modeling, she’s passionate about building a life filled with balance, purpose, and passion, whether that’s in the operating room, nightlife industry, or future personal brands.

A fun fact that perfectly captures Sierra’s duality is that she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders on the speech pathology route, all while walking runways for over 15 swimwear brands, truly a mix of brains and bikinis. Her advice to younger readers is deeply heartfelt: give yourself permission to grow at your own pace, even during seasons of being misunderstood or overlooked. Trust the journey, embrace every chapter, and surround yourself with people who lift you up. Your story is still unfolding, and often the most beautiful chapters are the ones you never saw coming.
